Joe Kusumoto/Town of Friscoo
Summit County has a packed calendar this Halloween season with events starting as early as mid-October. Whether you’re 8 or 80, groups across the county are putting on events for kids and adults alike. For those who aren’t in the market to be scared this season, there’s some more spookless activities for you, too.

Halloween is coming early to Breckenridge this year with the fourth-annual Pumpkin Palooza party at the Breckenridge Recreation Center on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a haunted playground, carnival games, crafts, bounce houses and more for kids up to 12 years old.
“The Pumpkin Palooza in the Town of Breckenridge is fall at its finest — a celebration of community and creativity!” Mayor Kelly Owens said via text message. “It’s the kind of event that brings neighbors together and reminds us why we love this town.”

Halloween At Frosted Flamingo
Frosted Flamingo’s Becca Spiro will be hosting her first Halloween event in her business’s new home on Airport Road this Halloween. She said she was looking to have a midday activity for families because there’s no school on Oct. 31.
The event will go from 2-8 p.m. and feature crafts like spooky glasses and face painting. From 2-5 p.m. the event is open to all ages, and from 5-8 p.m. it is just for adults.
“I’m going to have professional face and body painting for anybody who wants to get serious (and) really level up their Halloween game,” she said.
She said the professional body painter she’s bringing in is known for creating realistic scales and tire marks, noting it might even help you win your friend’s Halloween costume contest.
