Halloween fun in Breckenridge

The Backstage Theatre and The Summit Historical Society will present “Haunted Histories and Monstrous Mysteries at Milne Park,” from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 30 at 104 N. Harris Street, across from the Colorado Mountain College campus.

The event begins at the historic 1896 Briggle House Museum and will take participants on a haunted literary journey through three historic Breckenridge homes. Each will be decked out in creepy decor, and there will be surprises around every corner.

Excerpts from some of literature’s spookiest tales will be read in theatrical fashion by costumed actors from the Backstage Theatre. Historical Society volunteers will be leading groups on the tour leaving on every quarter hour. This Halloween excursion is geared toward adults and children.

All proceeds will benefit The Backstage Theatre and The Summit Historical Society. Cost is $5 general admission and $3 for Summit Historical Society members, Backstage Theatre donors and children 12 and under. No reservations are necessary. For more information, contact the Summit Historical Society at (970) 453-9022 or (970) 453-0199 or on the web at http://www.summithistorical.org.
