Hamner opens door to community

Superintendent of schools Millie Hamner is holding “Open Door Days” Monday and Sept. 30 where members of the public can share their thoughts about the Summit School District.Although people are welcome to stop in anytime at the central administration building in Frisco on those two days, Hamner suggests people call to set up a time so they do not have to wait long. “There is a lot going on within the school district right now and parents may have questions about everything from how their child’s class size is determined to why the school district is placing two issues on the Nov. 2 ballot,” Hamner said.”Although my door is always open, I want the community to know that I have set aside these two days to meet with anyone interested in discussing how we can continue to improve our schools and our education program,” she added.
