Headline sent wobbly message

I think I can speak for all Summit Stage Drivers when I say your Aug. 29 headline, “Drunk? Get on the bus,” was the worst possible one you could have used. It sends the wrong message. We are glad the numbers in question have improved, but that headline is a cart blanche invitation to irresponsible behavior. We’d like to remind the riding public that we are not required to put up with bad behavior on the bus. If you can sit on the bus and behave yourself, you are always welcome aboard. But drunk or sober, we reserve the right to put anyone off the bus who is a nuisance to the driver or other passengers. Also, to the Stage riders, please don’t subject your fellow passengers to loud or long cell phone calls. We don’t care how important you are, we don’t want to hear your phone conversations.
