Health and Safety Fair a great success

Karie McDonald, RN; and Kelley Lau, RNBreckenridge Medical Center

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the individuals and businesses who assisted in the Health and Safety Fair at the Breckenridge Medical Center last month. It was a hugely successful event with more than 80 children attending. We were able to safely fit more than 60 bike helmets, have children fingerprinted and inspect and properly install car seats. This was a wonderful community event made possible by many Emergency Medical Service and nonprofit agencies. We want to thank everyone who helped make this a fun and educational event for the youth of our community. Thanks to: Village of Breckenridge, Safety-Saur-Us, Vail Valley Emergency Physician, Think First, Vail Valley Medical Center, Summit Medical Center, Central Mountains Safe Kids Chapter, Red, White and Blue Fire Department, Summit County Ambulance, Breckenridge Police, Dr. Tim Nary DDS, Summit County Dispatch, Breckenridge Ski Area, Dr. Jason Folk, Howard Head Sports Medicine, Swedish Medical Center, Colorado Department of Transportation and Bear Aware. Thanks to all the volunteers and the families who took the time to help teach our youth about safety.
