Health organizations send supplies to Haiti

summit daily news

FRISCO – Bristlecone Health Services of Frisco recently sent four over-sized boxes totaling 72 pounds of medical supplies to be delivered to Haiti as Colorado physicians travel and provide relief to the earthquake-devastated, Third World country.

Supplies including bandages, antibiotics, alcohol swabs, saline and more were packaged and shipped to Pueblo. A team of medics took the supplies to Haiti and used them in rural clinics last month. Bristlecone Health Services is part of Centura Health.

A group of Summit County medics recently traveled to Haiti as well. St. Anthony Summit Medical Center, also in the Centura Health network, sent $3,000 worth of medical supplies with the group. Other local medical offices contributed as well.
