Hearthstone hosting 19th annual wine dinner
September 12, 2012
The Hearthstone Restaurant is hosting its 19th annual fall wine dinner Sept. 20 this year, benefiting the Family and Intercultural Resource Center.
Spanish wines from Torres will be paired with a five-course dinner created by executive chef Michael O’Brien, featuring farm-to-table Colorado cuisine. The evening will begin at 6 with wine, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, followed by dinner.
The Hearthstone will contribute 100 percent of the proceeds from the ticket sales and silent auction to FIRC.
Since it began in 1993, the Hearthstone’s wine dinners have contributed more than $250,000 to numerous nonprofit organizations in Summit County. The restaurant’s goal this year is to raise $25,000.
The resource center has been serving the county for 20 years by providing emergency assistance, food bank, parenting education and early childhood development support for more than 3,500 locals. FIRC works to promote stable families by providing them with the tools to be successful parents, overcome crisis and achieve self-sufficiency, resulting in an overall stronger Summit County.
Tickets to the event are $100 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Peter Bakken at Hearthstone at (970) 453-1148 or Anita Overmyer at FIRC at (970) 262-3888.
