Heeney resident Bill Elliott dies at 51

HEENEY – Memorial services will be held at the Lower Blue Fire Station Saturday for William H. Elliott who died Jan. 23 at the age of 51.

Elliott was born May 17, 1942. He and his wife Jenny moved to Heeney in 1987 after Elliott retired from a 30-year career with King Soopers.

He loved the mountains, hunting, fishing and camping with his family.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Silverthorne, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the National Rifle Association and the Blue Valley Sportsman Club, as well as a devoted Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche fan.

He is survived by his wife and five children: Cindy Mohr of Littleton, Terry Pickett of Colorado Springs, William F. Elliott of Lakewood, John Russell and Julie Russell of California and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday.
