New Jersey man arrested for DUI

Police arrested a New Jersey man for driving under the influence of alcohol last weekend in Breckenridge.

According to a report by officer Amy Nordeen, she pulled over Perry Barbaruolo on Wellington Road at 1:50 a.m. Sunday morning after hearing his vehicle matched the description of a truck that ran into a town light pole and then drove off. He was taken to the Summit County Jail after failing a roadside maneuver test.  Authorities charged Barbaruolo with possession of a controlled substance, DUI and failure to report a traffic offense. He posted $10,000 bond and was released from jail on Sunday morning.

Barbaruolo later pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired and unsafe backing. All other charges were dismissed.
