HGTV has a new Colorado-based show and the stakes are the highest yet – literally.

“Battle on the Mountain,” premiering Monday, travels to the lofty elevations around Breckenridge, where three home renovation teams compete to make over mountainside dwellings.

Teams are comprised of a married couple and an all-star coach from one of HGTV’s other shows, including Denver’s Rico León of “Rico to the Rescue,” Kim Myles of “Design Star: Next Gen,” and Kim Wolfe of “Why The Heck Did I Buy This House?”

Each week the teams renovate a different part of their respective houses, starting with the kitchen and dining room. A rotating cast of HGTV personalities judges the upgrades and awards a winning couple. Whichever team adds the most property value at the end of six episodes wins $50,000.
