Highway worker seriously injured on I-70

EVERGREEN – A state highway worker has been seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 70 near Evergreen.

The worker was hit Friday on westbound I-70 near Evergreen Parkway as he was picking up debris. A spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Transportation, Stacey Stegman, said the worker was taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital with serious injuries.
