DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Thanks to the efforts of the Collaborative Digizitation Program, the Colorado State Library and the Colorado Historical Society, you can read accounts of what happened as far back as 1959 through 1923 in Colorado as recorded by the newspapers of the era. One of the oldest in Park County, the Fairplay Flume, was recently added to the list of newspapers available on line. Readers can view individual articles, search specific papers or reach out across the state by logging onto http://www.coloradohistoricnewspaper.org.Other available papers from the area are the Colorado Miner from Georgetown, the Daily Mining Journal from Central City, the Summit County Journal and Breckenridge Bulletin, the Montezuma Mill Run, and the Rocky Mountain Sunday School Casket.The Rocky Mountain News, one of the longest operating newspapers in the state, is available as well.
