Historics car race to promote businesses

James Aretakis, Nostalgia Racing Inc., Morrison

Just a follow up note with regard to problems that occurred with last year’s hill climb during the Summit Historics car race series.

After the Board of County Commissioners’ vote was rendered, I paid a visit to Robin Robson at the Swan Mountain Inn. I wanted to assure her that we at Nostalgia Racing would do everything in our power to see that our event has a positive rather than negative impact on her business.

The demographics of our participants are very impressive. We plan on doing things to promote the inn and any other business in the area that might suffer from temporary road closures.

We can improve on the access to all the businesses along that frontage road, for starters. Our goal is a fun event for participants while providing an entertaining and worthwhile venue to showcase our vintage cars.

Most of all, this can benefit the town and the Summit Historical Society.
