Housing is community issue

As generous as the idea is to help “teachers stay in Summit County,” the community depends on other important public service occupations too, such as librarians, public service broadcasters, law enforcement, fire, rescue, security and health care jobs. Board member Sheila Groneman stated the issue clearly: “Affordable housing is a community issue.” While the school is a big part of the community, other financially-challenged groups need to be factored into a solution.
