Hwy. 9 construction continues through October
September 25, 2009
Construction work on the Colorado 9 widening project north of Breckenrige, between Valley Brook Street and Coyne Valley Road, is to continue through the end of October.
All construction signs and equipment are to be removed from the highway through winter, with work beginning again in May. Major work next year is to include embankment grading and placement of curbs, gutter and pavement.
The recreation path north of Valley Brook has been closed this week but is expected to re-open Friday afternoon.
Improvements to the roundabout south of the widening project are to begin in May 2010, and the $9.25 million federal stimulus project is to be complete by the end of 2010.
