Hoosier Pass reopens following treacherous morning of travel in Summit County

3:30 p.m.: U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass remains closed due to safety concerns, but all other highways are open as a break in the storm helped to clear the road surfaces in Summit County.
12:05 p.m.: Colorado Highway 9 over Hoosier Pass is open in both directions.
11 a.m.: U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass is closed due to safety concerns.
10:20 a.m.: Interstate 70 westbound is reopened at Exit 205 and the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels.
10 a.m.: Colorado Highway 9 over Hoosier Pass is closed in both directions for safety concerns, according to CoTrip.org.
9:30 a.m.: Interstate 70 westbound is closed near the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
CoTrip.org, which provides updates on road conditions and closures, says there is still a single-lane closure near Exit 205 as well.
Loveland Pass remains open.
Traffic cameras show heavy traffic westbound between the Front Range and Summit County.
A winter weather advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday, bringing the potential for up to 14 inches of snow accumulation.
“Travel could be very difficult at times due to snow covered roads,” according to the advisory.
