I-70W closures, delays scheduled for Monday
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will conduct bridge work on Straight Creek along Interstate-70 westbound on Monday, Aug. 15.
Crews will be on scene at mile marker 207 to complete joint repairs from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., and traffic will be narrowed down to a single lane during this window. The speed limit in this construction zone will also be reduced to 45 miles per hour and travelers should expect delays of between 10 and 20 minutes.
Commercial vehicles will also be diverted over Loveland Pass, and message boards will alert commuters of the temporary detour. Trucks that fail to take the Loveland Pass will be turned around at Eisenhower Johnson Memorial Tunnel.
Road condition and project updates are always available at: http://www.cotrip.org. Commuters may also call 511 from anywhere in the state, or check for updates on Twitter (@coloradodot) or at CDOT’s Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/coloradodot.
