Ice sculpting event set for Feb. 4-6


The Frisco Chamber of Commerce will host the fifth annual Gold Rush Ice Sculpting event Feb. 4-6 at the Frisco Historic Park. People can watch while professional ice sculptors use a winter games theme to create athletes such as freestyle snowboarders and skiers, a goalie hockey player, a cross country skier, a slalom skier and a figure skater.The theme is designed to showcase the March Gravity Games at Copper Mountain and the Rail Jam set for Frisco.Participants are invited to be in the Miniature Ice Hockey and Ice Bowling games 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 5 for the chance to win prizes.All proceeds benefit the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.The ice sculptures are made possible by sponsorship from the following businesses: Outdoor Life Network’s Winter Gravity Games, Struckman Sculpture Ice, Italco Food Products, Summit Daily News, Taco Bell, the Balance Sheet, Moose Jaw, Tuscato, Best Western Lake Dillon Lodge, MJ Plumbing Solutions, Hotel Frisco, the Law Offices of David A.
