Idaho Springs hosts theater festival

The Colorado Community Theatre Coalition will present the 18th annual Colorado Theatre Festival in Idaho Springs June 21-24. This year offers 10 mainstage competitions from theatre companies across Colorado, theatre workshops for actors and the technically-inclined and an individual acting competition. Vail Valley Music Festival has added a Pops evening to the schedule for Monday, July 3 at 6 p.m. at the Ford Amphitheater. This performance by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra led by conductor Jeff Tyzik will include works from “Man from La Mancha,” “West Side Story,” “Camelot,” “How the West Was Won,” “Silverado,” “Dances With Wolves” and other American favorites. The concert will be performed without intermission and tickets are available at various prices: $10 for the lawn, $30 for regular reserved and $40 for premium reserved.
