Illinois man on ski vacation dies in Keystone


KEYSTONE ” A 55-year-old man on a ski vacation with his wife died in Keystone Wednesday, most likely from heart failure, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.

Leslie “Les” Laux of Illiniois was found in cardiac arrest in a stairwell at Chateau Demont. Laux had arrived on Feb. 8. When emergency responders arrived, they were unsure how long he had been down, the coroner reported.

The death was the seventh on record in the county in 2007.
