Important health care coverage enrollment deadline fast approaching for Colorado residents

A Jan. 15 deadline to enroll in health care coverage is fast approaching for residents of Grand and Summit counties, according to a news release from Peak Health Alliance.

Peak Health Alliance was formed in 2019 to negotiate better health care plans for mountain resort communities like Summit County.

“By analyzing claims data and fostering collaboration between local communities, hospitals, and insurance providers, the nonprofit has saved members in eight rural counties more than $16.1 million,” Peak Health Alliance officials said in a statement.

Those who miss the Jan. 15 deadline for open enrollment for coverage that would begin Feb. 1 could be at risk of being uninsured for the next year, the release states.

Coloradans can explore their options and sign up for coverage through Connect Health Colorado or directly via Elevate Health Plans by Denver Health Medical Plan’s website at DenverHealthMedicalPlan.org. For personalized help, call 970-455-0382.
