Breck Pride returns to Summit County this week with daily après parties, guided ski tours, a spring beer festival and LGBTQ celebrations running Wednesday to Sunday in Breckenridge.

Some of the week’s highlights include the color ski run at Breckenridge Ski Resort, daily après and dining, the Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival, live music, DJs and even a drag queen bingo party.

Breck Pride begins with Wednesday’s welcoming party at the Coppertop Bar and Café at Beaver Run Resort before things really get going with Thursday’s guided ski program, barbecue lunch, après ski party and nighttime cocktails. Drag divas Shirley Delta Blow and Dixie Krystals will be making a couple of special guest appearances throughout the weekend.

On Friday, the week continues with more skiing, après ski parties and drag queen bingo — complete with special performances — at Kenosha Steakhouse.

Saturday is another big day for Breck Pride with the event’s first-ever charity ski race from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in benefit of the One Colorado Education Fund, a nonprofit that works to secure protections and opportunities for the LGBTQ community.

Also on Saturday, the Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival will pour brews from noon to 5 p.m. at Main Street Station and the Village at Breckenridge with a portion of its proceeds going to the The Cycle Effect, a local nonprofit that helps girls get into the sport of mountain biking.

Not to be overlooked, Saturday’s color run parade will feature skiers in their most festive pride costumes. The color run will start at Ten Mile Station with the Bud Light team handing out pride gear.

The group will cruise down the resort’s Quicksilver run over to Beaver Run Resort and flow into another après ski party. There will be prizes for best costumes during the color run and it will head down the mountain at 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
