Infant dies in Silverthorne

SILVERTHORNE – A five-month old baby boy died on Thursday after he was found unconscious and not breathing in his home.Silverthorne police officers responded to a home in the Blue River Run subdivision at about 11 a.m., according to a press release issued by the police department.The officers administered CPR on the baby until the Lake Dillon Fire Department and an ambulance arrived.The infant was taken to Summit Medical Center, where he later died.Summit County coroner Joanne Richardson said there were no preliminary indications that the baby died from factors other than natural causes, but that an autopsy would be done in 48 hours.The infant’s name is being withheld pending family notifications.
