Internet user doesn’t care about perceived conflict of interest or conspiracy looking for a story

Hey, the point is S the other day I noticed a blemish on my forehead and decided I needed to investigate. So I squeezed, pushed, and picked until I made it really angry.

What was a little thing is now the focal point of my face – such is the Beanpole hoopla. Lest we forget that the blemish is not the face, the focus of Beanpole Project is about getting reliable and cheap high-speed, broadband Internet access to everyone in this county.

Summit County is a major economic engine of the state and yet, we still are not functioning in the 21st-

century cyber world.

Equal access to government contracts does not mean we have to go in limousines and pick up potential vendors. It simply means that we advertise and let the business community pursue its interests – it’s unfortunate if some are asleep during the process.

It appears that at least two companies got the message and the other is now pursuing a more oops-after-the-fact approach. Frankly, and I’ll say it again, all I care about is getting cheap, high-speed Internet so I can dump this ridiculous dial-up service, and stop swearing at inanimate objects.

I could care less about the “perceived conflict of interest” or the conspiracy looking for a story. The idea that a “perceived conflict of interest” is equivalent to an “actual conflict of interest” and that the facts are therefore irrelevant is a very scary proposition that no citizen should tolerate.

Trust me, if you ever get on the receiving end of that delusional thinking, you will become a born again believer in protecting your reputation.
