Final update: Interstate 70 reopens to traffic following crash Saturday night

Interstate 70 between Exit 203 at Frisco and Exit 216, which leads to Loveland Pass, has fully reopened to traffic, according to CoTrip.org.

A crash that occurred just west of the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels at mile point 213 has been cleared by first responders, according to CoTrip.org. Interstate 70 eastbound has reopened, but the westbound lane between Exit 203 at Frisco and Exit 216, which leads to Loveland Pass, remains closed.

Eastbound and westbound lanes on Interstate 70 were closed Saturday, Jan. 18 around 6 p.m. “due to safety concerns,” according to CoTrip.org. A crash occurred just west of the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels at mile point 213 in the westbound lane, the website states. The closure affects I-70 between Exit 203 at Frisco and Exit 216, which leads to Loveland Pass, or from mile point 205 to mile point 215, and travelers should expect delays.
