The Lake Dillon Theatre Company Cabaret Series continues its popular First Sundays Cabaret Series with “It’s the Little Things,” featuring LDTC favorite Brittany Jeffery. Jeffery will take the Lake Dillon Theatre Company stage in her one-night-only appearance on Sunday, Nov. 2, for two shows that she describes as “honest, moving and silly.”

A New York-based performer, Jeffery said she looks forward to making her debut as a cabaret artist at the Lake Dillon Theatre Company for Summit County audiences.

“I feel so comfortable at the Lake Dillon Theatre,” she said. “The theater community in Dillon has become my family, a home away from home. I am very excited to share some personal stories with the people who always greet me with open arms.”

Jeffery returns to the Lake Dillon Theatre Company after her previous engagements in “My Way: The Music of Frank Sinatra,” “[title of show]: an original musical,” “The Sunshine Boys,” “Scapin,” “Golden!,” “The World Goes Round” and “Broadway Now” (2013).

Jeffery said the title of her cabaret comes from the various events that have inspired her as an artist and a person. In addition to the music, the performance will feature stories about all the little things that have made her the woman she is today and the woman, wife and mother she hopes to become.

“I will be sharing stories about my experiences living in New York City, auditioning and even having my heart broken,” she said. “There are also a lot of stories about love and family. Ultimately, this cabaret has enabled me to rekindle my relationship with beautiful music.”

The popular First Sundays Cabaret Series is part of the year-round Lake Dillon Theatre Company Cabaret Series. “It’s the Little Things” is the 10th installment and includes a variety of music styles from the musical theater genre, including classic songs, as well as more recent tunes.

“I am so excited to share this piece with the people who have done so much for me and my career in the past four years,” Jeffery said. “Audiences will enjoy the honesty, tears, and laughter and can expect some good old American fun.”

“It’s the Little Things” features Jeffery with accompaniment, music arrangement and musical direction by Brian Walters. Sponsors of the First Sundays Cabaret Series include the town of Dillon, The Summit Foundation, Colorado Creative Industries, Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate and the Summit Daily News.
