James Smith: Burke a top candidate

James Smith
Breckenridge

Mark Burke’s dedication to excellence as a local business owner, a parent and as a philanthropist make him the premier candidate for Breckenridge’s town council. I have worked at Summit High School since 2002, and I have had the outstanding pleasure of interacting with Mark Burke on a regular basis.

I teach a character education and service learning class at Summit High School, and it was no surprise when several students chose to write their “Who is a great citizen?” essays on Mark Burke. Mark is an active supporter of Summit School District. From his support as a parent to his numerous fundraising efforts for the high school’s extracurricular programs, Mr. Burke has been an incredible asset to many of us in the community. Mark’s benevolent nature comes to the forefront of every interaction with this outstanding citizen, and I’m certain that these qualities define Mark as the best choice in the upcoming election.

Furthermore, Mark Burke has earned the respect of all who know him. With his recent experience as president of Johnson and Wales University and current ownership of local establishments, Mark has the expertise to effectively manage large, community-oriented projects and gain the results that benefit the unique town of Breckenridge. Mark’s quality of character and history of success has certainly earned my vote, and on April 6, I encourage you to help me elect Mark Burke to the Breckenridge Town Council.
