Jane Leidal, 71, dies Oct. 4 on Kailua-Kona

Jane Leidal, 71, died in her residence on Kailua-Kona on Oct. 4. She was born in New York City on Dec. 25, 1937, daughter of Francis Gordon Brown and Natalie Ponvert Brown. She went to Ethel Walker Boarding School and attended Bennett College.

She is survived by her husband Andy Leidal, formerly of Breckenridge; children, Tom (Lisa), Christopher (Tiffany), and Cyndi (Brian); 5 grandchildren, and stepsons Erik of Fairplay and Mark (wife Christy) of Breckenridge. She worked at Littleton Manor Nursing Home and volunteered helping mentally handicapped children while residing in Colorado. A private memorial service will be held on Kona Nov. 7.
