Jeffery Wium to screen ‘Wisdomkeepers, Paqo Andino’ at CMC Breckenridge

Filmmaker Jeffery Wium was injured in 2002 while shooting a TV series, leading him on a journey of physical, mental and emotional healing. His documentary follows the ancient lineage of Andean Paqos, spiritual intermediaries whose ancestors have lived in relative secrecy for more than 13,000 years in the high mountains of Peru.

As part of the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Speaker Series, the Breckenridge campus will screen “Wisdomkeepers, Paqo Andino” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 in the auditorium, 107 Denison Placer Road.

Filmed on location in the Peruvian highlands, the 108-minute film’s captivating footage, traditional Andean music and non-narrated format combine to create a first-hand experience of living in harmony with the natural world. English subtitles provide translation to the region’s indigenous Quechua language, and Wium will introduce the film and facilitate a question-and-answer session after the screening.

Tickets are $10; students are free. Contact Heidi Kunzek at 453-6757 or, or visit for more information.
