Jerry Wayne Kemp passes away

Longtime Breckenridge resident Jerry Wayne Kemp passed away in Lubbock, Texas on July 27. He was born on Aug. 1, 1949, in Dallas, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Velma Kemp of Olton, Texas, and is survived by his daughter, Maggie Kemp Lopez, granddaughter Sophia Lopez, brothers Jackey and George Kemp. He worked for many years at The Village and was a frequent “character” at The Gold Pan, Shamus O’Tooles’ and Whale’s Tail.



A memorial gathering will be held at the Whale’s Tail soon after Christmas.
