Joe Jefferson: Dillon Valley road repair delay ridiculous

Wow! What a laughing matter. So now that Little Beaver Trail has been closed since May and the snow is flying, should we count on a Thanksgiving repair finish date? I hate to be on the negative side of anything but – really – seven months! I understand that there were very complicated planning or blaming issues involved. But when it takes less time to build a structure than repair said structure, I see a problem.

I would be willing to bet, if this were one of the entrances to Three Peaks or Dillon, a road closure would have been rapidly rectified.

I am however happy that I have a level of understanding as to what level of promptness I can expect of my community in a disaster or emergency situation: Uphill both ways.
