John Bertotto: Palin’s right on global warming

John Bertotto

I am responding to Kathy Bennet’s “scared by Sarh Palin.” Palin is mostly correct on global warming. Man is a contributor to global warming, but the real rat is the sun. It is warming up, and scientists have known this since Einstein invented E=MC2.

A good way to describe this is to look at the planet Jupiter. There was the big red spot ever since man first started looking at Jupiter. Within the last 10 years, first, a second spot appeared and now we have a third spot. These are cyclonic storms caused by heat. The smallest storm is larger than the Earth. Jupiter is eight times farther from the sun than is the Earth, and heat radiation drops off inversely as the square of the distance. Jupiter’s heat problem is not caused by the Earth.

Palin has thought about the Iraq war enough to go and visit the Alaska guard troops there.

There certainly was not a lot of thought about Clinton’s insurance effort.
