John Fanning: They still hate you, Sarah Palin

John Fanning, Dillon

Chris Matthews, MSNBC, the one who feels tingling up and down his leg whenever Obama speaks, says Sarah Palin is illiterate. Referring to Palin’s book, “Going Rogue,” he questions whether Palin can read or write. “The only politician I know who can write a book is Barack Obama.” We can always look to Matthews to lower his own credit one more notch with each and every broadcast to a dwindling audience.

Keith Olbermann, one of the other dimly lit bulbs on MSNBC, repeatedly refers to her as stupid, as does his colleague, a dimmer bulb, Rachel Maddow. These two, along with Chris Matthews, make up three reasons why MSNBC is a miserable failure.

Salon.com branded Palin as a “Christian Stepford Wife,” and “a Republican blow-up doll.” Wendy Doniger, religion professor at the University of Chicago: Divinity School added “her greatest hypocrisy is her pretence that she is a woman.”

You would think, whether or not they agree with her politics, feminists would applaud Mrs. Palin as a living example of their core principles … a woman’s right to have a career and a family. Yet many feminists unabashedly suggest that her decision to seek the vice presidency made her a bad and selfish mother. Others argue she is bad for working mothers because she’s too good at having it all. Liberal feminists have a very difficult time dealing with strong, successful, conservative women in politics. Sarah Palin seems to have unhinged more than a few and infested them with Palin derangement syndrome.

Sarah Palin is essentially middle-class, down to earth, tells it like it is, and reflects real America. She can shoot a gun, is married to a blue-collar worker, can raise many children, including one with special needs, and was the governor of a large and diverse state. Certainly all this takes some degree of smarts and natural talent. She does not come across as arrogant or elitist, and does not talk out of both sides of her mouth. Yet, liberals and their complicit media continue to viciously attack her.

Liberals are hopelessly biased against her. It appears they are scared of her electability, her charm, her looks, her femininity, her Christianity, and her ability to connect to the common man. It appears the left is conspiring against her because they are afraid of how really brilliant and electable she really is.

Unless you are a “hater” like many on the left, you have to admire Sarah Palin for her honesty and integrity during everything that has happened. She has not given up, no matter what has happened to her and her family. She is a great role model for many people. She is using her voice, words and attitude to show people everywhere that no matter what happens in your life, it can be overcome and used for the good of life.

As the mainstream, liberal, media continues to rot from the head down; as Barack Obama continues to turn a deaf ear to the voices of the people, while whining and blaming Bush as he attacks another so called villain, the financial institutions; as Congress continues to cut deals with each other and doesn’t address in a bi-partisan way, the challenges facing the people, more Sarah Palins will emerge and make their way into the political landscape. New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts are but tips of the political iceberg.
