John Warner: Hats off to Breckenridge planning commissioners

John Warner
Town of Breckenridge Mayor

While reading my town council packet for my next meeting, I was struck by how much thought and knowledge goes into being a member of a planning commission. In the Town of Breckenridge, every two weeks you are expected to read and comprehend a couple of hundred pages of staff reports, applications for development, background information for preliminary development hearings, etc. Additionally, you need to have a working knowledge of the Breckenridge Development Code, design standards and historic preservation. All of which comprise a document of several hundred pages. To this end, I would like to thank four individuals who have served the Town of Breckenridge Planning Commission for several years and have recently stepped down from their commissioner duties. Thank you Michael Bertaux, Leigh Girvin, J.B. Katz and Jim Lamb for your many years of excellent service and dedication to the Town of Breckenridge.
