Join FDRD for forest restoration

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Please join Friends of the Dillon Ranger District for Forest Restoration Day on Saturday, June 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at the Summit Seniors Parking lot, near the County Commons, located in Frisco off of Highway 9 at 8:30 a.m. for bagels and coffee. Snacks and beverages will be provided at the end-of-the-workday tailgate party. Volunteers will help restore and rehabilitate the forest in the Miner’s Creek area, including erosion control and closure efforts along the trail. Volunteers should dress for a day outdoors. Bring water, work gloves, layered clothing including long pants, long-sleeved shirt, sturdy boots, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen, rain gear, insect repellent and lots of enthusiasm.
