Join The Greenlands Reserve Land Trust/Our Future Summit for an Adopt-A-Trail Project

The Greenlands Reserve Land Trust/Our Future Summit invites you to join them on Saturday, Sept. 20, for their final trail-maintenance project of the year on the Buffalo Cabin Trail.

Volunteers will perform various trail-maintenance activities, including trail closure/restoration work in braided areas and construction of water bars and check dams for erosion control. All ability levels welcome.

Volunteers should meet at the trailhead (at the end of Ryan Gulch Road in Wildernest) at 8:30 a.m. and should dress for a day outdoors. Bring lunch, water, work gloves, layered clothing ” including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt ” sturdy boots, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen, rain gear, insect repellent and lots of enthusiasm!

This effort is part of Friends of the Dillon Ranger District’s Forest Stewards Program Adopt-A-Trail initiative.

Volunteers are requested to RSVP by Thursday, Sept. 18, so that we can provide sufficient tools and crew leaders. Contact Marge Schweri at (970) 468-4887 or to RSVP and for more information.
