Jurassic 5, The Walkmen will perform during Gravity Games

Special to the DailyThe Walkmen will join rappers Jurassic 5 to play the Gravity Games at Copper Mountain March 5.

COPPER MOUNTAIN The hip-hop group Jurassic 5 and The Walkmen, a rock band, will perform at Copper Mountain during the Winter Gravity Games.Jurassic 5 will headline a free concert on Saturday, March 5, from 4-6 p.m., at the base of Copper Mountain. The Walkmen, will open up the show from 2:30-3:30 p.m.The Winter Gravity Games will air on OLN March 27-30.The fusion of hip hop and live rock complement the lifestyle of our event, said Brad Friedrich, OLNs Vice President of Business Development.

While the Gravity Games mainly take place at Copper Mountain, Frisco is getting a piece of the action.The Frisco Rail Jam will take place Friday, March 4, in downtown Frisco, from 7-9 p.m. The following roads will be closed:* Street closures will mainly involve Third Avenue from Main to Granite. Main Street will be closed from Second Avenue to Fourth Avenue on Friday, March 4, until Saturday, March 5, at noon.* Third Avenue will be closed from Main to Granite for set up and take down, from 6 a.m. on March 2 until noon on Saturday, March 5. * Main Street will be closed from Second Avenue to Fourth Avenue from 6 a.m. on Friday, March 4 until midnight. A run out of snow will be placed in the intersection of Third and Main. * On Friday, March 4, the north side of Third Avenue from Main to the alley will be closed from 4-9 p.m.* Throughout the road closures, Granite will be open.
