Keeping In Touch Day is just around the corner

Daily News staff reports

This year’s Keeping In Touch Day is just around the corner. Thursday, Summit County Chamber of Commerce staff, diplomats and member volunteers will head out around Summit County to meet and greet chamber members for a little one-on-one face time.

This is a great time to volunteer and get out in the community and meet some members you may not see at mixers or other events. Check out members while they work and see exactly what they do.

Those interested in volunteering should call K’Lynne Jorgenson at (970) 333-0033, or e-mail: rle2riz@yahoo.com. Anyone interested in tossing some freebies or promotional items into the Keeping In Touch Day handouts, call Christy at (970) 668-2051, or

e-mail her at

christy@summitchamber.org.

Get beachy at July’s chamber mixer

To finish up Keeping in Touch Day, join WestStar Bank in Dillon on Thursday for a fun and beachy mixer. What better way to enjoy the summer than with some friends after work on a sunny day with some tasty cocktails wearing your favorite Hawaiian shirt? It’s a perfect opportunity to network with Summit County Chamber Members. Come out from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and sample food and drink from the Dillon Dam Brewery and Lake Dillon Liquors while getting to know folks from all around Summit County. Admission is $5 for members, $10 for nonmembers. For more information call (970) 668-2051. All Summit Chamber mixers are sponsored by the Summit Daily News, Krystal 93, KSMT, the Summit Independent and Quality Quick Print.
