Kevin Berkley: Chapin for assessor

Kevin Berkley, C.P.A.

As we approach the November election I am asking you to think about an elected position that might not normally catch your attention. That is the position of county assessor. I think it is time we elected someone that has the experience and education to properly run the assessor’s office. Please consider electing Erik Chapin. Erik is a Certified Residential Appraiser and has run his own appraisal business in Summit County for the past six years. He knows the area and knows how to value property. I have worked with Erik for many years and recommend him to mortgage clients and friends. The next valuation period for Summit County will be difficult given the number of distressed sales that will have to be considered. Let’s elect someone that has the knowledge and experience to do the job right.
