Kevin Carlberg: Paint chips in the river?

Kevin Carlberg

Dear Village at Breckenridge: Thursday I was walking my dog over the south bridge that gaps the Blue River from the Village to Main Street Station and noticed a crew of gentlemen repainting/servicing the river wall immediately down stream of Maggie Pond. Two men were painting the angles of the wall, a third was in the river scraping old paint chips into the river!

These walls have been in disrepair for years, and the damage that needs to be repaired is obvious, however, professional painters do not scrape paint chips onto their clients’ property. I was upset to see large paint chips being carelessly chipped into the river as though the Blue River were some gutter.

I urge you to mitigate this lack of professionalism immediately.
