Keystone donates a day at the River Course to The Summit Foundation

Daily Staff Writer

Keystone Resort invites the public to “Swing Into Summer” – a benefit for The Summit Foundation at the River Course on May 20.

If you sink a hole-in-one, you could drive home in a brand new 2004 Chevy Trailblazer courtesy of Jim Hudson Chevrolet.

The River Course at Keystone is an 18-hole, par-71 course designed by Hurdzan/Fry. The River Course is known for it’s dramatic elevation changes as it meanders along the Snake River and threads through a lodge pine forest boasting expansive view corridors.

This course is designed for golfers of all abilities with combined yardage ranging from 5,000 from the forward tees to nearly 7,000 from the back.

“Swing into Summer” is sponsored by the River Course at Keystone, Keystone Resort, Jim Hudson Chevrolet and Wells Fargo Bank. It is a scramble tournament that includes breakfast, a shotgun start, lunch on the course and a reception at the River Course Grill. Cost is $500 for a foursome or $150 per player.

The Summit Foundation is a community public foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents and guests of Summit County and neighboring communities.

The foundation has awarded more than $5.8 million in grants and scholarships since granting began in 1986. More than 188 organizations depend on the foundation, and in turn those agencies provide valuable services to the community.
