Keystone Inn theft nets cash, paintings

KEYSTONE – Sheriff’s officers are investigating a case in which more than $400 and three paintings were stolen from Keystone Inn early Saturday morning.

According to reports, an employee at the inn reported that sometime between midnight Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday, someone took about $400 in cash from the front desk and three French-style framed prints, valued at $900, from the dining room in Razberrys.

The front-desk employee said he counted the cash at the beginning of his shift, then went into a back room to do other work. He failed to lock the cash drawer.

There are no suspects in the theft.
