Keystone opens Outback, Area 51 halfpipe to open this weekend

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

KEYSTONE – Wednesday, Keystone Resort expanded its open terrain to include its third and final peak, the Outback, and expects to open the halfpipe in its A51 Terrain Park this weekend.

The groomed Elk Run trail opened Wednesday on Outback for the remainder of the season. Badger and Timberwolf runs will open for limited access while natural snow conditions permit.

The expanded terrain brings Keystone’s lift-served terrain now open to 43 percent.

Keystone’s A51 Terrain Park currently has eight jumps and more than 50 jibs, rails, and bonks. A51’s halfpipe is scheduled to open this weekend. With the opening of Upper Paymaster, terrain park goers will have quicker access to A51 without slow zones.
