Keystone Science School introduces Mom Camp

Daily News staff report

For all of the moms who have been yearning for a “big kids” camp, it’s finally here.

Keystone Science School’s upcoming Mom Camp is billed as a unique alternative to the usual girls’ night out; It provides an opportunity for busy women to take some time out for themselves and act like a kid again. Participants enjoy dinner (cooked by someone else!) music, a traditional campfire with songs, audience participation skits, and double chocolate s’mores. Adult beverages are optional – BYOB.

For those who’d like a closer look at the night sky, KSS staff will lead an astronomy session in its on-site observatory.

After a peaceful night’s sleep in rustic cabins, the group will wake up for breakfast, pack a picnic lunch, and depart for a challenging hike. Farewells will be said upon return and everyone will get home in time for dinner with their families.

The camp is not limited to moms only; all women are welcome.

Mom Camp starts at 5 p.m. on Friday and runs through 2 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $85 a person.
