Keystone Science School seeking volunteers

The Keystone Science School is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help facilitate a hands-on free astronomy program for all Summit County fourth-graders and their families. No previous astronomy knowledge is required and all volunteers will have the chance to experience our on-site observatory to view the night sky. The program runs on Jan. 14-17, 22, and 29 starting at 5:45 p.m. and lasting until 9 at the Keystone Science School campus. For more info or to sign up for a date, contact Amanda Seidler at (970) 468-2098 or email aseidler@keystone.org.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
