Keystone to host annual tourism conference

KEYSTONE – Keystone Ski Resort has landed the opportunity to show off its best assets to the top tourism gurus in the state next fall when it hosts the 2006 Governor’s Colorado Tourism Conference.Earlier this week, the Colorado Tourism Office selected the Keystone Resort and Conference Center out of five applicants to host the annual event.Submissions were evaluated on a number of criteria, including geographical location and the applicant’s willingness and ability to provide local support and logistical and technical assistance for the conference.”This is an incredible opportunity to gather the leaders of the tourism industry in an ideal setting that should inspire discussions of our collective future and also provide plenty of opportunities to relax, recharge and recreate in the scenic Rocky Mountains,” said Keystone’s chief operating officer Roger McCarthy.The conference will be held Oct. 11-13. Details, including registration information, will be available at in coming months.This year’s conference was held at the Marriott Denver Tech Center.
