Khalid: What’s killing the trees?

RASHID, KHALID, Frisco

You are. Your gas-guzzling SUV’s are killing the trees and the planet, people.

I recently went into our locall library here in Frisco (where the Internet is eternally disabled) and picked up a large flier asking the question, “What’s killing the trees?” I have also picked up a few Breckenridge ski maps lately making note about the pine beetle kill – both publications/fliers stated that the beetle kill epidemics are “natural processes” that cycle over time. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Global Warming is directly responsible for all the dead and dying trees we see all around us today.

The U.S. Forest Service and the Breckenridge Ski resorts need to stop lying and get it through their thick right-wing heads that their wasteful, materialistic, rich, decadent, arrogant American SUV lifestyles are directly responsible for this unprecendented natural disaster.

You want to know what’s killing the trees? Look in the mirror idiots …!

As long as government agencies such as the Colorado state and U.S. Forest Services and local area ski corporations remain in denial about the threat of Global Climate Change and what its doing to our precious forests, the longer it will take to repair the damage – if it can be repaired at all.
