Kim Postema: Town of Breck could do more with parking

Kim Postema
Breckenridge

Regarding the article about parking along Main Street, I would like to direct your attention to the Tiger Dredge parking lot less than one block from where the picture in the paper was taken. In that lot are mounds of snow blocking off a major portion of that lot. Considering the fact that this is one of the lots that people pay $50 to use, one would think that the city would keep it fully open for the public’s use. This just illustrates how the city complains about employees of stores abusing the parking, yet does things like this.

When the paper writes articles of this nature, instead of being in the town’s pocket, why don’t you go out there and do some investigating to show examples of how things really are and could be improved?
