Kudos to some good bus drivers

Joan Holden
Frisco

I want to say how much I appreciate the free bus system in Summit County which operates so efficiently and on time. I rode it three times so far to Breckenridge to ski and it is so convenient. I want to commend a certain bus driver who showed initiative and pride in his work by washing the windows at the Breck station by the gondola.

He was not my bus driver. I noticed he was two stops down from the stop going to Frisco and it was between 1 and 2 p.m. on a Tuesday. Other drivers could also take advantage of wait time by thinking of their as well.

It would add to the comfort and enjoyment of the passengers to enjoy the great scenery as we ride along the route. Could not all the drivers follow the good example of this driver and fill up their trash container and use a squeegee/sponge and wash a few windows while they are waiting to leave?

I also want to commend a driver who showed a bit of personality and added to his passengers’ enjoyment in naming the stops. He held onto the “grr” in Granite and spoke it out clearly and loudly. It makes it a bit more fun.

Other drivers just seemed to mumble the stops and showed no energy. So this driver was the 1:30 driver to Frisco from Breckenridge Gondola stop. I enjoy simply people taking pride in their work. We all could learn from these good examples of pursuance of excellence.
