Lanuza announces Silverthorne candidacy

SILVERTHORNE – Silverthorne resident Vince Lanuza announced Thursday his candidacy for a seat on the town council in the April 6 election.

Lanuza feels, with his diverse personal and business background, he can contribute to Silverthorne in many ways, including working with all the town’s residents, developing a close working relationship with the business community and keeping a close watch on Silverthorne’s budget and finances.

Lanuza grew up in Chicago, served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earned a degree from De Paul University and became a CPA.

During his business career he worked with Price Waterhouse and KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick).

He specialized in working with small businesses and entrepreneurs and financial planning.

He and his wife, Suzanne, are now retired and have made Silverthorne their permanent home.

Lanuza is a member of the board of directors of Timberline Adult Services in Frisco, the Eagles Nest Property Homeowners Association and the Eagles Nest Metropolitan District.

He will participate in Monday’s candidate forum at 7 p.m. in the Silverthorne Town Hall.
